Who we are
Household Handyman is run by Robert Jones, based in Bournville, Birmingham. If you have any questions about this page, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
What information do we collect?
what you type into our contact form: your name, your email address, and your message.
What do we do with it?
We use your details purely to reply to your enquiry. We don’t sign you up to any mailing lists, we don’t pass your details on to other companies, and we do not sell your information to anyone.
How long do we keep it?
We aim to keep your message only for as long as is needed to deal with your enquiry.
Customer reviews
We show real customer reviews on this website using a service called Trustindex, which pulls them in from Google.
The reviews are displayed via Google and Trustindex. These are well-known, reputable services with their own strict privacy rules, you can read theirs at the links at the bottom of this page.
The invisible spam check
To stop unwanted junk messages coming through our contact form, we use a background security tool called Google reCAPTCHA. You won’t notice it, it works quietly while you fill in the form.
As it does this, Google automatically picks up a small amount of technical information about your device to check that a real person is sending the message. This is handled entirely by Google under their own privacy rules, which you can read at google.com/privacy.
Cookies
A cookie is a tiny piece of text that a website saves onto your computer, phone, or tablet. It cannot harm your device or access any of your personal files.
Some cookies help websites remember you or work properly. Others, like those used by Google, help them check you’re a real person or display content like reviews.
If you’d like to remove cookies from your device at any time, you can do this through your browser settings. If you’re not sure how, just ask someone you trust to help.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to delete it. Just email rob@householdhandyman.co.uk and Rob will do his best to help.
